Takashi Miike [Full-Zip Hoodie]

One of Japan's most prolific, original, and uncompromising filmmakers, Takashi Miike has directed 99 movies in just 25 years! He has worked in possibly every genre- horror, drama, comedy, action, romance, musicals- and his films depict sadistic killers, unstoppable policemen, insane yakuza, mutants, cyborgs, and samurai. He's made gut-wrenching social commentaries like VISITOR Q, and also an Ultraman adventure. An artist with seemingly limitless possibilities, and still going strong. - Kung Fu Bob
Gildan (18600) 8 oz. 50% cotton / 50% polyester. Preshrunk fleece knit. Unlined hood with color-matched drawcord. Double-needle stitching at waistband and cuffs. 1 x 1 rib with spandex.
This design is a hand drawn piece of art that was created by artist Robert "Kung Fu Bob" O'Brien as a tribute to Japanese director Takashi Miike. In the piece the filmmaker is depicted as a gonzo yakuza member, much like you'd find in one of his movies. As far as details go, all the neon signs are made up of the titles for the films he directed, and his "yakuza tattoos" are made up of images from his films too. Among the tattoos are you'll find characters and scenes from the DEAD OR ALIVE trilogy, ICHI THE KILLER, THE HAPPINESS OF THE KATAKURISVISITOR Q, FUDOH, and many others. This fantastic piece of art comes as a brilliant, full-color design.
