For a lot of films sound effects are usually found in a library belonging to a studio. They are sometimes ripped off other films or any point of reference {could be a tv commercial} and slightly eq'd to alter the pitch to suit a particular scene. Or else they are recorded live and altered with a bit of sound design {very expensive} to create more dynamic sound ie sound that appears to move.

You could go to the trouble of using a sampler and recording your own sound fx,or sampling those from other films.

I was on the net trying to locate some sound effects for a martial arts fight sequence I am preparing to stage. Please include me on the list of individuals who would like to have some of your effects. The email address is:

e_drakes@sbcglobal.net

Thanks.
