"Three Kims"

got it. nice blockbuster comedy. pure entertainment that does leave a little something to be desired tho.

theres plenty of fighting action (street, dojo) and i bet yall dig the fu, if u dont expect too much of it (its a mainstream comedy first and foremost).

a- seemingly wimpy- taekkyon master (with a secret), a stark no bullshit kendo master & a smart hotshot kung fu master who just moved in the hood are next door neighbours in a (present day) provincial korean town.

theres been fighting over students and of course the superiority of each ones respective style between taekkyon & kendo in the past, but sh!t hits the fan when newcomer kung fu becomes the latest craze on the block.

taekkyon and kendo end up forming an odd alliance in order to eliminate the kung fu competition, but another menacing force (triad crooks) are entering the scene.

taekkyon, kendo and kung fu must bite the bullet, straighten out their animosities, figure out who gets the girl and join forces to avert doom for the hood.

this had been quite highly anticipated and i gotta say, it didnt live up to these expectations of mine, but im a sucker for (action oriented) comedies outta korea and will give thumbs up no matter if they re 'only' decent or straight up ingenius.

three kims is "good", lighthearted entertainment. 7/10.
