Scarlett Bordeaux was granted her release from Impact Wrestling. If you didn't hear, she was the victim of a fan incident this past weekend at a AAA event. When she performed a dive outside the ring, as she was getting up, a fan groped her and security did nothing. She issued a statement:
”It is NEVER okay to touch a performer without their consent. I didn’t realize what happened until I watched the footage afterwards being so in the moment after a dive with my back turned otherwise I would have reacted much differently. Thnx to @LadyShaniAAA for having my back”

While Bordeaux is done with Impact, someone who was attempting to get their release granted but will not is Killer Kross. Kross aired his grievances on a Wrestling Perspective podcast and Impact officials are angry not only with him but Petey Williams, who is a current writer and producer at Impact.

Davey Boy Smith Jr. has left New Japan Pro Wrestling. Rumors are circulating he may be heading to Impact Wrestling. NJPW is not happy with Impact, still holding a grudge for their misuse of Okada in 2010, which effectively ended their partnership. Despite an attempt in 2017 to renew the partnership as Impact was rebranded and started over, NJPW still holds the grudge and refuses to work with Impact. They are only working with Ring of Honor at the moment.

WWE Stomping Grounds Results:

  • Drew Gulak is the new Cruiserweight Champion. He defeated Akira Tozawa and Tony Nese in a Triple Threat Match.
  • Becky Lynch retains the Raw Women's Championship defeating longtime rival Lacey Evans.
  • Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn defeated Big E and Xavier Woods.
  • Ricochet is the new United States Champion, defeating Samoa Joe.
  • Bayley retains the SmackDown Championship, defeating Alexa Bliss. Bayley has been a bit more aggressive lately.
  • Roman Reigns exacted revenge against Drew McIntrye despite Shane McMahon's attempts to interfere.
  • Kofi Kingston retains the WWE Championship in a Steel Cage match against Dolph Ziggler.
  • Daniel Bryan and Erick Rowan retain the WWE SmackDown Tag Team titles against Heavy Machinery.
  • Lacey Evans was the guest referee for the Universal Championship match between Seth Rollins and Baron Corbin. Despite all attempts by Evans and Corbin, Rollins found a saving grace in his real-life girlfriend, Becky Lynch to even the score with Rollins ultimately retaining the Universal Championship.

Savio Vega (the former Kwang) will debut with MLW at their Never Say Never '19 event on July 25.

Rey Mysterio is still nursing his injury from the hands of Samoa Joe. If he gets medically cleared, he plans to return on July 8's Monday Night Raw.

New Japan Pro Wresling has filed a trademark for the name "Death Rider", which is both the nickname and finishing move of Jon Moxley.

WWE is reportedly going to stop airing commercial breaks during matches. Instead, they will be aired only in between matches.

Mojo Rawley has re-signed with WWE as had Mike [Bennett] and Maria Kanellis

The former TJ Perkins, now just TJP, is negotiating a deal to go to Impact Wrestling.

Dana Brooke got slammed into the ring post at a house show by Sarah Logan.

Jacob Fatu has been targeted by both WWE and AEW to join one of the two. He is the son of Sam Fatu (Tama/The Tonga Kid) and the nephew of the late Umaga and Rikishi..

Lars Sullivan tore his ACL and will be out for 6 to 9 months. This is just when he recently made his return after suffering anxiety.

She wasn't fired. She wasn't happy with the pay she was getting so last month, she asked for her release and I think the incident at the AAA event was the spark that made Impact say okay. let's give her what she wants. She wanted to go, so they let her go. She is now doing indie bookings.

Thanks for clearing that up @AlbertV, there's a lot more options now for those not wanting to go knocking on WWE's door.

WWE has announced that Paul Heyman will be Executive Director of Monday Night Raw and Eric Bischoff will be Executive Director of SmackDown Live! They will answer directly to Vince McMahon. In their newly created executive roles, Heyman and Bischoff will oversee the creative development of WWE's flagship programming and ensure integration across all platforms and lines of business, in WWE's verbiage.

https://nypost.com/2019/06/27/hardcore-legend-tommy-dreamer-contemplated-murder-suicide-at-wrestlemania/

Tommy Dreamer mentions that he was going to kill Paul Heyman at Wrestlemania X-7 in 2001 because Heyman up and left ECW without a word and got himself a nice gig at the WWF while the ECW guys were living on scraps.

Dreamer even turned down a big contract from WCW, which was stupid IMO, he should've left, even if he got a crappy gimmick like Mike Awesome, at least he could provide for his family.

WWE has decided there will be no live wrestling going on when Raw and Smackdown are on commercial. It is also considering adding rounds to matches.

NHK News segment on the recent growth of NJPW:

https://www3.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/en/news/videos/20190621212101590/

On July 19th, CMLL is having a farewell match for Jushin Thunder Liger. His opponents are Caristico, Negro Casas and Ultimo Guerrero. It will be a "relevo" match where only two wrestlers are in the ring and can tag any of the other two in.

At the latest NJPW Kizuna Road show, both El Phantasmo and Zack Sabre Jr. retained their RevPro titles against Ryusuke Taguchi and Yoshi-hashi. ZSJ's spot in the G1 was also up for grabs.

Those guy's broke their backs for him, and of those who are still with us, few if any have money like Heyman does.
