Ken Lo movies where he actually fights?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

Know of any movies where Ken Lo actually gets a decent fighting part?

Obviously apart from Drunken Master 2 which I've seen a few times already! He also stars in Supercop but doesn't do much except fire a rocket launcher, which is kinda cool.

Thanks!

Off the top of my head The Black Sheep Affair, the bruta but brief prison scuffle is a good one.

He has a short fight against Donnie Yen in "Special ID" and he briefly fights Anthony Wong in "The Legend is Born: Ip Man."

Thanks, will check it out!

Check his filmography on his HKMDb page. It'll give you a list of the movies he was in, and you should be able to determine which ones he fights in.

Ken Lo

Actually, in about 80% of his roles Ken Lo doesn't fight. If not more than that. Even if he has a henchman role. At best he throws out a kick randomly and then gets tossed aside.

So, sadly, I can't tell just from looking at his HKMDB page!

Drunken Master 2 was such a weird landmark for Ken Lo. It confirmed that he's a veritable boot-master and yet no one utilized him before then and no one has really utilized him after.

He has a fighting role in the 2002 Japanese movie 'Muscle Heat' (if I remember correctly it was retitled to 'Blood Heat' for its U.S. release). One of the few starting vehicles for Kane Kosugi -

His fight with Vincent Zhao at the end MAHJONG DRAGON is one of favorites. He shows off some nice bootwork in CIRCUS KIDS. He has two decent fights against Donnie in CHEETAH ON FIRE that obscured by bad lighting.

I remember reading an article where Wu ma and various others on the set of Circus kids asked him to do more boot work reminiscent of the stuff he did on Drunken master 2 but he refused out of respect to Jackie Chan saying he didn’t want to copy what had already been done.

He has the opening fight in Kickboxer's Tears against fellow former kickboxer turned film star Billy Chau

He also joined forces with Kenya Sawada for the pachinko fight scene in Thunderbolt
