What's the most amount of movies you've watched in a single day?

Recommended Posts

Today I rather spontaneously ended up watching 5 movies; THE KILLER (1989), A BETTER TOMORROW(1986), A BETTER TOMORROW II (1987), SILENT RUNNING (1972) and THE IRON-FISTED MONK (1977).  There was 2 other days in the past were on both days I watched 4 movies. Which was previously the most I'd watched in a single day.

Tough question, I've never really kept track, but I could watch a lot of films in one day, with freinds as a teenager. Now I dont tend to have the same stamina for it.

I can pull off four in a day with ease. Back when I was a teenager, my friends and I would rent six or seven films and watch them until the wee hours of the next day. I doubt I could do that anymore.

I usually take advantage of days off from school to watch as many movies as I possibly can. I think my record is six movies in a day. However, I don't remember what movies I watched exactly.

I did keep track of a time I watched five movies in a day though back in October: Godzilla Vs. Mechagodzilla (1974), Love on Delivery (1994), My Young Auntie (1981), Predator (1987), and Hard Boiled (1992).

Used to be I could at least pull a triple feature. Nowadays, sitting through 2 takes effort.

Glad I'm not the only one who doesnt have the same movie stamina.

After watching the latest Kickboxer this week, I nearly followed it up with a Chuck Norris feature, only to end up going to bed instead. That said, the Alain Moussi film, featured enough action into it's almost two hour run time, it could have been spread over two movies.

Probably half a movie nowadays. The other half I spend smoking a shit ton of weed and watching stuff on the internet. Hog porn, whatever that means, hahahha!

Does this vehicle belong to you @OpiumKungFuCracker?. If your living room is like this car, I'm not surprised you get only half way through a movie, by which time you can no longer see the screen.

Does this count as a day? Movie watching in Tokyo a few months ago.

Watching movies at home is a different story. 4 would be a miracle, 3 takes effort, usually no more than 2.

1 movie usually, sometimes may start 2nd but rarely finish it on same day. Not endurance anymore for viewing more. It`s not that many years since could have watched 3-4 easily.

Of series 4 episodes at most. But if really addictive then sometimes can do more...

Find a bit odd even as have lots of new movies to watch seems most of time used to movies these days I spend on re-visits.

I think record has been 5 movies on 1 day, mixed hollywood and kung fu.

The most I watched must have been that Enzo Castellari triple feature from DVDs one Sunday afternoon/evening - I watched The Last Shark, 1990: The Bronx Warriors and Escape 2000 AKA Escape from the Bronx that day, quite a fun experience.

Beside that though, I've rarely gone over two movies in one day. I sometimes go for double features from DVDs I have or at the theater. Horror (Annabelle and the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre in the theater, The awful Doctor Orloff and Shaw Brothers'The Human Lanterns on DVD), science-fiction (too many to list, but I recall seeing Voyage to the Center of the Universe and Terror in Space AKA Planet of the Vampires at the theater the same evening a couple of years ago, and I remember spending an afternoon on New Year's Day watching Carnosaur 3 and Terror of Mechagodzilla) and action (Mad Max and Mad Max 2 at the theater, many Sunday afternoons spent with two Kung Fu films from a Mill Creek Entertainment DVD set) are usually the genres that get the treatment either way.

I sometimes treat myself to some rather odd combinations too, like the time I saw a Hong Sang-soo movie and followed it with the extended cut of Once upon a Time in America  (got in the theater at around 1:30pm, left at nearly 7pm). Beside being two very different movies, it was also a "double feature" involving both the shortest and the longest running movies on their schedule that week. :bs_coveredlaugh:

A couple summers ago it was 3 or 4. Now Im impressed with myself if I can even make it through an entire movie in a sitting outside of the theatre. Kinda sad, but it may be because Im trying to get through a bunch of netflix junk on my list before I move back over to kung fus and stuff I want to see.

A dozen a day, one decade ago. But that's not something I will do from now on, because I find that great movie deserves some thoughts hence alone time to be correctly considered. Chaining movies is overlapping the previous movie in my opinion.

????? When did you sleep?

I used to sleep the next day or when I fell asleep. But like I said it was pretty stupid marathon, because I sometimes didn’t remember some of the movies.

Two days ago, I watched 4 movies from 4 PM to 10 PM...

You might have buit up a tolerance to those Ti Lung energy drinks @ShawAngela. You could watched movies all weekend, after ten bottles of those.

Thats some feat, I probbly spent more of my youth re-watching the same movies. Than I now do watching new movies. Not every film I watch, get's a post about on these forums. Even if if I've watched a Martial Arts picture.

My record is 7 movies, that was when I had just started watching HK movies 12 years ago. Nowadays I watch maximum 2 movies; 3 - 4 when I am not feeling well and spend the day on the couch.
