Some updates on season 2: Brenton Thwaites is teasing that his character of Dick Grayson may in fact become Nightwing in season 2. And it was originally rumored but it's confirmed that Curran Walters has been promoted as a series regular in the role of Jason Todd. And Natalie Gumede has scored the role of Mercy Graves, the bodyguard of Lex Luthor and a martial arts expert herself in a recurring role.

I've been watching Season 2, but still am a few episodes off. This season, Dick Grayson has been training the new Titans: Rachel "Raven" Roth, Gar "Beast Boy" Logan, and Jason "Robin" Todd. Dick is asked by Bruce Wayne to help train Todd in both a physical and mental way so Jason could stop his reckless ways. This comes after Dick finally clears the air with Bruce about why he gave up being Robin. As for Starfire, she and former Titan Wonder Girl have been teaming up to take down fellow metahumans. However, Starfire finds a familiar face who plans to send her back to her home planet.

In the season premiere, Raven is given her red crystal on her forehead by her father Trigon, who eventually falls to Raven's newfound powers mixed in with her good heart, ending that story quickly.

Meanwhile, a mysterious woman named Rose has appeared and Dick takes her in after being impressed with her ability to escape and fight off many people. He soon learns Rose is the daughter of an old enemy, Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke. When Robin learns Deathstroke is targeting his daughter, he reforms the old Titans of himself, Wonder Girl, and Hawk and Dove, opening old wounds and past demons as Deathstroke is the reason why the original Titans disbanded.

New characters introduced include villains Shimmer and Doctor Light; former Titan Aqualad, and a new duo of heroes in Connor Kent and Krypto (their intro I still have yet to watch).

In my opinion the second season has bitten off more than it can chew. It's trying to juggle too many characters and it just doesn't have the magic the first season have. Even the action is a lot less interesting in this season.
Not that it's a bad show. It's not. I enjoy it a lot. I just don't like the second season as much as the first.
