I would like to thank everyone who was able to make a donation for the purpose of obtaining new features for the forum. The donation goal was met rather quickly and we here at Kung Fu Fandom can not thank you enough for the support. The plan is once the new site is up and running, the focus will then turn to the forum on updating and adding these new features and we will continue to strive to make your time spent here on the forum as enjoyable as possible. _/|\_

Lady Jin stated that she was overwhelm with writing, work & school so she was taking a break. The thread she created about it was lost when the forum went down last year.

One person who haven't visited in a while is @Alexandra, I think she too may have left.

Also @peringaten, have been missing for a while. He gave us those great updates when he attended Lau Kar Leung's funeral.

@bigrogie We miss you!

Hey Opium! Wassup? I log in a few times a week, I just don't post often! I communicate way more often by email than through here. Not enough time in day! :speechless I'm still going strong with selling DVDs to collectors including many followers of 10+ years and new ones that don't want to break the bank on KF websites! :smile

If Lady J was the same as Lady Jin, the news about the Shaw blog, Moonlit Blades and the Men Who Wield Them, by Lady Cao Feng and Lady Jin, was included on http://www.shaolinchamber36.com/news/page/3/

The blog didn't exist for very long.  It's gone.  Lady Cao Feng has her own blog - http://ironflagprincess.blogspot.com/ and twitter account, and she's obviously a Shaw fan.  An online search for Lady Jin came up with a Youtube channel, a Facebook account and a deviantart account.  But that could be someone else.

In history "Lady Jin was the second known wife of Wang Yanjun, a ruler of the Chinese Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period state Min".  A little less than 1,100 years ago.  (Wikipedia)

Unfortunately, life gets in the way and friendships end. But the love of Kung Fu remains.  I hope those that are M.I.A are doing well.

Can someone help me find the yi-long and dragonsword thread? I need to relive that epic moment in time again? anyone?

I suspect they were both banned.

I've found a post under Guest Yi-Long:

But when it comes to DragonSword, I'm guessing DS posts may have been deleted, as I could not find any direct posts. I did find this post in which DS is quoted (but I could not see the original post that was being quoted):

(I'm attempting to be informative in this post, not controversial).

I haven't heard of @Shaolivevil in a while. I wager that he's been very busy IRL.

Things have been a bit more busy than usual but I still try to make it here a couple times a week. Although I don't always post something when I'm here, I still love to read what everyone else posts. This is one of the very few places online that I call "home" and I always will...

Hey @lonesome space, I really appreciate you looking out, my man...:hvb_greetings:

Hey, you're very welcome. I remember you were the first one to post on my Big Boss review/essay (I've made a few updates to it since then, in case you wanna check it out again), and I still appreciate your comment. Hope you're doing dandy with whatever it is you're occupied with IRL, and I look forward to seeing more of your presence around the forum!

I've looked for @masterofoneinchpunch's address but apparently I never wrote it done. I got it from him in a pm and that was lost in the 2016 Blackout.

He appears to be doing alright. I've been scrolling the 'recently read books titles' and saw where he posted his goodreads account, he had just recently added a couple titles to his list over there. Thought I'd inform so you don't have to worry. (you can send messages over there it looks like) I sincerely hope I'm not being intrusive in any way, just trying to inform

The date of his last post in that thread is June 22, 2017. That's almost a year ago. If you go to his profile, his last activity was July 12, 2017. He doesn't appear to have been active since then. Haven't even see him lurking on the forum over the last year.

Yeah, his last review on HKMDB is from April '17. Use to talk to him a lot back on th old forum and on the B n' B forum back in '13 before I left. Many people just drop off... nothing weird about that.

I understand this mate. What Im saying is that there was a post he made on that particular thread in the past, where he posted his GoodReads account for people to check out. I clicked the link and saw he was active on that site just yesterday (having added two or so titles to his list, on goodreads). His account name is the same as it is over here. If you make an account on goodreads you can send other users messeges. Search "goodreads" on this site, and follow the link he posted.

For guys like masteroftheoneinchpunch and secret_executioner they were interested in so many other things aside from kung fu films that I could see why they'd step away for a while. Probably to focus more of their attention on other media for a while.

Sad truth about online life, met many knowledgeble people over the years, and lost touch with most of them, and not intentionally. Forums go down never to come back, people just get caught up in offline stuff, relationships, jobs, illness etc. Some fans just lose interest in stuff.
