    88 Films SB Blu-ray

The prices of many of the Shaw titles on Amazon are pretty low for the HD version. Not all of them, but quite a few are only $2.99 - $4.99 to buy. So I can understand why someone might be happy to pay only a few dollars instead of buying a physical copy when it's so much less expensive to get a digital version. That was always one of the promises of digital media - lower pricing. Although most studios and companies that sell digital copies seem to have forgotten that.

List of Celestial SB movies on iTunes

iTunes prices are still pretty high for the HD versions. If you also have Amazon Video, prices are generally much lower. An HD version of Eight Diagram Pole Fighter, for instance is $7.99 on iTunes and only $2.99 on Amazon. And that's to buy, not rent. Not sure if that helps anyone, but thought I'd mention it.
  4. Thank you so much! I appreciate the feedback Took me a long time to put together, but it's always fun doing it.
  5. I decided to throw up some t-shirt designs on redbubble.com and thought I'd share them, in case anyone is interested. There are only a handful up right now as I'm just starting, but one is a Dreadnaught design and there is a Sun Chien design that people here may be interested in. Let's face it, Sun Chien needs more shirts! Dreadnaught t-shirt Sun Chien t-shirt
  6. Sadly, I have to agree. I still keep this one in my collection and it has its moments, but it's painfully slow in too many parts. You make an interesting point. I guess it becomes a question of whether you ever intend to watch a title again, or if you just enjoy having it as part of a collection. I know I own movies that I'll probably never watch again, but still enjoy having them around. Kind of like a pair of pants that I've outgrown but still keep in the closet, just in case. 😉
  7. There is also a German bluray release of this movie under the title Attack of the Yakuza.

    Shaw Brothers on Blu-ray

I haven't seen it mentioned, but Deltamac Taiwan has started releasing more Shaw Brothers titles on bluray recently. Hopefully they will continue and release more. The titles I've seen are: Hong Kong, Hong Kong Intimate Confessions of a Chinese Courtesan The Mad Monk Look Out Officer The Boxer From Shantung
  9. Actually there is a legit China Star (Hong Kong) DVD of OUTIC IV with English subs. It's been out of print for a very long time but it does exist. I don't believe they released OUTIC V (not that I've seen, at least).
  10. Funny, I don't remember a lot of comedy in The Loot (not saying there isn't any, I just don't remember much of it), but I can absolutely recommend it as a must-have! Along with The Challenger and Judgement of An Assassin, it's easily one of Chiang's best martial arts movies. The story is stronger than most and it's well worth seeking out the Joy Sales DVD release. I think it's the only anamorphic print out there. Both the WA and Dragon releases were letterboxed.

The Chamber Of Food and Drink

I have to admit. You are pretty cool. I just wouldn't go out to dinner with you. That's not actually true, I'd be happy to share a slice of pizza with you!

The Chamber Of Food and Drink

Your poor family (assuming they have a broader taste for food). You remind me of my nephew who would eat cheese pizza for every meal if given the opportunity.

    36 Styles T-Shirts

I had to order three new shirts because some of my old ones are starting to object to how often I wear them.
  15. Probably the most famous, not to mention it has a great performance by Ivy Ling Po, was Lady General Hua Mu-lan.
