FORUM SCHEDULED DOWNTIME

For those unaware, the launch of 36STYLES.COM is coming next week! This means we will be moving the forum to its new home. The new link to the forum will be https://www.36styles.com/kungfufandom ... bookmark it now!

The site as a whole, including the forum, will be down on Monday, March 2. To minimize the forum downtime, I plan on bringing the forum back online, even before implementing the new features, as setting these up will probably take some time. I will send out an email to all registered members once the forum is back up.

Some exciting times are ahead for KUNG FU FANDOM!

  1. Yep, the streaming versions of Fortune Star titles are still suspect. Some are from more recent HD masters, but a bunch are still the old SD masters upscaled to HD. Ugh.

  6. I would also like to know where these were uploaded to
  7. Uh, wrong. The DUEL TO THE DEATH, THE CHAMPIONS, WHEN TAEKWONDO STRIKES and THE ANGRY RIVER trailers are all in HD.
  8. I believe that when Fortune Star posts a trailer to their YouTube channel it means that they have recently remastered the film itself. Hopefully that means we will see the following films in HD somewhere in the near future:
  9. THE SHANGHAI THIRTEEN Hong Kong blu-ray will be released by CN Entertainment on or around December 20th in Hong Kong. Super surprised!

Kung Fu explosion during the 70s

Yes, with the independent productions it is difficult to find out if there are current companies that still hold the rights and have access to film elements in order to produce a decent remaster for HD streaming/blu-ray. A real shame. There are a bunch of classic martial arts films that were independently produced and may be lost... forever?

There isn't a remastered version of SHAOLIN VS WU TANG that I am aware of, but there is a widescreen version that was created by a user on ADC (RIP). Quality is OK, definitely watchable.
