  1. I watched Seasons 1 & 2 a few weeks ago. I don't know what to think of it.....Part of me thinks it's total cheesy crap with bad acting and that it's a joke to have Ralph Macchio portraying a martial arts master (God his techniques are so awful that's it's painful to watch). At the same time, I couldn't stop watching the episodes one after the other and can't wait for Season 3......Strange feeling!!

Asian DVD Club is no more...

Also ADC was so easy to use. I find Avistaz is a mess. Often subs have to be downloaded separately and half the time subs don't work.

I just joined. Hope it'll work as the original ADC.

    KISS Army (Kiss thread)

Back in the 70s they were my favorite band after the Rolling Stones. Must have seen them 4- 5 times live back then. I sort of stopped following them after their Dynasty album (last one with the original members). I went to see them again in 2009 and last month for their End of the road tour (scheduled over 3 years). Great 2 hours show loaded with pyrotechnics and fire. It was like a trip back to the mid/late 70s!!

Legend of Bruce Lee : quick take

Haven''t seen much reviews about the whole 50 episodes series. It's currently playing on Netflix. Never watched the 3 hour condensed movie from it. I discovered martial arts and kung fu movies through Bruce Lee in the early 70's. Been a fan of both since then. Read tons of stuff about Bruce in the 70s and 80s but must admit not much since then and I must have forgotten more that half of what I've read! I decided to watch the whole series last month and I did (skipped some parts). From what I remember reading about him back then, the series seems to have many many inaccuracies, untrue facts and invented stories. However, overall, I have to admit that for most of it I enjoyed the series. Too much wires in some fight scenes but in general I like it. I have no clue if this was backed or not by Lee's estate, don't really care. I think that the essence of what Lee's view of martial arts and Chinese kung fu is well depicted. I see it as a drama based on Lee's life. I've seen much worst! The «Bruce Lee» song is very cheezy and annoying...
  11. I watched Season 1 since Monday. Liked it from the very beginning until the end and was always looking forward to the next episode. Some humour, good action. So much better than Netflix's recent Wu Assassins. Looking forward to Season 2 which I understand should come out in early 2020.
  12. I watched the whole series over 3 days. True that the special effects are cheesy and 90s style but until episode 6, I was having fun. Then it started going downhill......Last 2 episodes, specially the last one, left me totally dumbfounded.....Like WTF was that crap???? As Drunken Monk said, no way this is getting a season 2.
  13. If you have access to Cinemageddon, dozens of classic Hong Kong movies newly remastered in HD were uploaded last year, most of them without English subs.

    Loved Ones Lost

Sorry Ray to hear about these sad news. After the tears have dried and the goodbyes have been said, all we have to hold onto in life are the happy memories that we have shared with our loved ones who have passed. This is what keeps them alive in our hearts and minds and they continue to live on through us. Your Dad will continue to live through you. My condolences.
