    Spider-Man: Into the Spider Verse 2 (2022)

Back when the first one was doing well, Phil Lord and Chris Miller promised fans if the film made $200 million domestically, they would include Japanese Spider-Man (from the 1978 Toei TV series) in the sequel. While it didn't make the $200M as promised, Lord and Miller did announce that despite the result, they are including Japanese Spider-Man to Into the Spider-Verse 2. Matter of fact, he's already been designed!
  5. The film is making its North American debut on November 15 at the CGV Cinemas in Buena Park and Los Angeles and then a limited nationwide release on November 22.

  8. Rendel is the dream project of Finnish filmmaker Jesse Haaja, who created the character when he was fourteen years old. A dark avenger is born when a worldwide corporation known as VALA launches an untested vaccine called Nh25 into the market by bribing, threatening, and killing every official opposing them. "Rendel unleashes his own special kind of hell against VALA, threatening to put an end the distribution of Nh25 As blood spills and the money burns, VALA recruits a group of mercenaries to do what they seemingly can’t, eliminate Rendel permanently. The first superhero film from Finland, RENDEL, is based on the comic book character created by director, Jesse Haaja." Kris Gummerus plays the titular vigilante. The film was shot from October 2015 to April 2016. The film was picked up by Raven Banner Entertainment for North American rights.
  9. Congratulations goes out to the original Rendel. At the Sydney Film Festival, the film was nominated for ten awards and won four awards: Best Thriller Award Best Music Award Best Trailer Best Special Effects And the first official photos of Rendel 2 have been released at Finland's Muropaketti, with Jesse Haaja revealing that he has learned from all the technical problems with making the 1st film and has planned something more structured. He believes Rendel 2 will be much better than the original. “In the first part, everything came as a bit of a surprise every day, and then the problems were solved a little too much from the flight. After that, we swore to ourselves that we would not have to go through the same situation again. This time it took almost a couple of years to prepare, so I and the whole team had the attitude that we could make the film as planned without any major problems. Unfortunately, there were quite a few surprises there when certain things weren't quite as expected. Yes, that is where most of the plans for the task force went to the rubbish bin Fortunately, our core team has done so much work together over the years that they were able to react quickly and re-insert the pages for virtually every day. It is not an ideal situation to have lighting and picture plans made the night before. The manuscript also had to be reinvented with the belief that it was possible to realize it. The sequel focused on making a clearer, more controlled action film. It did a great job of it, even though it was sometimes like a 'go-to-headwind'. I believe that Rendel 2 will be better than its predecessor in every way possible. ”

    Pro Wrestling Thread 2019

Scarlett Bordeaux has officially signed with WWE. She will be heading to Orlando this week to train at the Performance Center along with Shotzi Blackheart, Samantha De Martin, and Stephon Smith. Renee Young respondedon the SI Media Podcast about what it's like at home with her husband Jon Moxley now that he's at All Elite Wrestling “It’s not weird at all. As soon as we’re both home and have a glass of wine, he has his Jack & Diet Coke and we just talk about wrestling. We talk about what my day is like, what his day is like. It’s an interesting time for all of wrestling. I’m sure people would like to be flies on the wall of our room. There are some interesting conversations that have happened, that’s for sure. When you’re married to Jon Moxley, that man likes to talk about wrestling. Sometimes I need to cleanse my pallet like, ‘Can we just put on ‘This Is Us’ and not talk about wrestling for a minute? That would be great.’ He’s a big ‘This Is Us’ fan. He is a layered man. There’s much behind those crazy eyes.” Bray Wyatt is the new WWE Universal Championship, winning the title at Crown Jewel
  12. Devil's Junction: Handy Dandy's Revenge. I saw the film last Friday with the film's official release set for today. The film revolves around a former TV station that becomes a house of horrors when a group of college-age kids go in as the dad of one of them has bought it and plans to turn in into condos. The TV show shot there, a 1960s era children's show called the Handy Dandy and Mr. Jolly Show, was also a crime scene with supposed child killings that ended when Mr. Jolly committed suicide. However, Jolly isn't dead but is actually a black magic wizard hellbent on revenge and brings to life Handy Dandy and his puppets to begin killing the kids one by one. It can be more seen as a homage to the slasher/ghost movies with the typical characters and kills. Bill Oberst Jr. is great as Mr. Jolly and Bill "Chop-Top/Otis" Moseley makes the most of his screen time as the father of one of the kids, who has a more hidden agenda in buying the building. Oberst actually commented on my review of the film and it made my day! https://worldfilmgeek.com/2019/11/01/devils-junction-handy-dandys-revenge-2019/
  13. Coming next Friday to select theaters and VOD/Digital, the true story of the 1966 Battle of Long Tan comes to life. With 2,500 battle-hardened Viet Cong soldiers closing in, their ammunition running out and casualties mounting, each man searches for the strength to triumph over an uncertain future with honor, decency and courage.
  14. If you want a really good war drama and one that has a lot of historical accuracy, this is the film. Great performances by the cast, and really well shot battle scenes. https://worldfilmgeek.com/2019/11/05/danger-close-2019/ In addition, I interviewed Luke Bracey this afternoon about his role in the film and the challenges he faced filming. While he is a native Australian, he had not made a movie in his homeland...until now. He primarily made Hollywood films. https://worldfilmgeek.com/2019/11/05/close-to-danger-an-interview-with-luke-bracey/

  16. Daniel Craig went off on a reporter who asked him about the hiring of Fleabag's Phoebe Waller-Bridge as a screenwriter on the film: “Look, we’re having a conversation about Phoebe’s gender here, which is f–king ridiculous. She’s a great writer. Why shouldn’t we get Phoebe onto ‘Bond?’. I know where you’re going, but I don’t actually want to have that conversation. I know what you’re trying to do, but it’s wrong. It’s absolutely wrong. She’s a f–king great writer. One of the best English writers around. I said, ‘Can we get her on the film?’ That’s where I came from… She’s just brilliant. I had my eye on her ever since the first ‘Fleabag,’ and then I saw ‘Killing Eve’ and what she did with that and just wanted her voice. It is so unique – we are very privileged to have her on board.” Waller-Bridge even talked about Bond not having to be a pro-feminist character because that's how he is: “I think he’s absolutely relevant now. It has just got to grow. It has just got to evolve, and the important thing is that the film treats the women properly. He doesn’t have to. He needs to be true to this character.”
  17. Disney announced today that they are on the hunt for a new director of Star Wars Episode IX as Colin Trevorrow opted to leave the film due to the all too familiar problem that plagues filmmakers and studios today: "creative differences". http://www.thewrap.com/colin-trevorrow-exits-director-star-wars-episode-ix/

Joe Pantoliano has officially returned as Capt. Morgan and the veterans, while facing a drug-cartel leader, also come to grips with taking on a trio of young cops in their department, played by Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, and Charles Melton. To complicate matters, the new head of the AMMO team is Mike's ex-girlfriend, played by Paola Nunez. Jacob Scopio plays the central villain of the film. The film is being directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah with Jerry Bruckheimer producing. The film is set for a January 17, 2020 release date.
  19. Over the weekend, the ever so busy Dwayne Johnson announced he will be producing in and starring in a biopic about embittered UFC fighter Mark Kerr. Johnson: “I was drawn to this because he has such a compelling story. Yes, he achieved so much in his life, but like all of us, like all of these fighters, he battled these demons.” Kerr was a two-time UFC champion who started in the earlier days of MMA, fighting for the World Vale Tudo Championship and in the late 1990s in the PRIDE Fighting Championships. While there is no studio attached yet, Johnson will be producing under his Seven Bucks label with Dany and Hiram Garcia. http://www.darkhorizons.com/dwayne-johnson-plans-ufcs-mark-kerr-biopic/
