What’s On TV This Week (October 24 – October 30)

*TV listings are as fluid as a tai chi fighter and may change without notice. Channels may also vary schedules by region. Movie titles and dates are based on the channel listings and usually reflect US release versions. The scriptures say “the wise man always checks local listings”.

Let’s just get the WALKER, TEXAS RANGER listings out of the way… Basically, if you want to watch WALKER, it is probably on. Grit has it every night at 7:00, 8:009:00 and 10:00 PM. Inspiration shows it Monday through Thursday night at 9:00 and 10:00 PM, Friday at 9:00 PM and Tuesday through Saturday at 2:00 AM. WGN fills in the gaps with WALKER at 9:00, 10:00 and 11:00 AM Monday through Thursday.

Monday the movies start with THE EXPENDABLES 2 (2012) at 1:45 AM on TNT. Fuse offers up TKO (2008) at noon and again at 11:00 PM, FXX has HERE COMES THE BOOM (2012) at 3:00 PM and SyFy has BLADE: TRINITY (2004) at 8:00 PM and BLADE (1998) at 10:30 PM. Tuesday just has BLADE at 2:00 PM and BLADE: TRINITY at 4:30 PM. Wednesday is another slow day: HERE COMES THE BOOM is on FXX again at 12:30 PM and HDNet Movies has KILL BILL VOL 1 (2003) at 7:05 PM and KILL BILL VOL 2 (2004) at 9:00 PM.

Thursday is probably the best day of the week for movies. It kicks off with HDNet Movies re-showing KILL BILL VOL 1 at 1:45 AM and KILL BILL VOL 2 at 3:40 AM. IFC offers up THE FOOT FIST WAY (2006) at 12:15 PM. MGM sneaks in some non-Walker Chuck Norris with BREAKER! BREAKER! (1977) at 4:15 PM. Most of the action is on El Rey, though. They start with SHAOLIN TEMPLE (1976) at 4:00 PM, followed with MAD MONKEY KUNG FU (1979) at 6:30 PM, ONE ARMED SWORDSMAN (1967) at 9:00 PM and RETURN OF THE ONE ARMED SWORDSMAN (1969) at 11:30 PM. El Rey continues the one armed action to start Friday with THE NEW ONE ARMED SWORDSMAN (1971) at 1:30 AM and then a re-airing of SHAOLIN TEMPLE at 3:30 AM. Nothing is on Saturday (hey, it is Halloween weekend) and Sunday only offers up LONE WOLF MCQUADE (1983) at 3:45 AM on MGM and BLOOD: THE LAST VAMPIRE (2009) on Fuse at noon.
