*TV listings are as fluid as a tai chi fighter and may change without notice. Channels may also vary schedules by region. The scriptures say “the wise man always checks local listings.”*

All things considered, it’s kind of a light week. TV is staying strong, though. WALKER TEXAS RANGER is still running four episodes every Monday through Thursday morning on WGN starting at 9:00, two episodes every weeknight on Inspiration TV at 10:00 and 11:00 PM, with two more each week day morning at 2:00 and 3:00 AM. They also show two more on Sunday night starting at 8:00 PM. HAP AND LEONARD has ended its first season, but you can catch up with the last three episodes starting at 4:30 AM Wednesday on Sundance. El Rey is rolling out four more episode of the MORTAL KOMBAT series Thursday starting at 6:00 AM, and CBS has another new episode of RUSH HOUR Thursday night at 10:00 PM.

Movies start right at midnight on Monday with HOUSE OF TRAPS (1982) on El Rey, followed by THE TREASURE HUNTERS (1982) at 2:00 AM, THE YOUNG VAGABOND (1985) at 4:00 AM, and AN EYE FOR AN EYE (1981) at 8:00AM, all on El Rey. El Rey picks up at 10:00 PM with MERCENARY FOR JUSTICE (2006), and Esquire rounds out the night at 11:00 PM with TIME COP (1994).

Tuesday starts with Esquire re-airing TIME COP at 1:00 AM, and El Rey re-showing MERCENARY FOR JUSTICE at 2:00 AM. Sony brings out FULL CONTACT (1992) at 7:55 AM and THE BIG HIT (1998) at 9:45 AM. Sony picks up at 10:00 PM with BILLY JACK (1971), and Esquire closes Tuesday with NINJA ASSASSIN (2009) at 11:00 PM.

Wednesday doesn’t have much going on. Sony has BILLY JACK GOES TO WASHINGTON (1977) at 12:05 and 4:20 AM, with a 2:15 AM showing of BILLY JACK tucked in between them. TBS is offering THE FORBIDDEN KINGDOM (2008) at 2:30 AM, and Wednesday ends at 8:00 PM with another showing of NINJA ASSASSIN on Esquire.

Thursday starts with BLACK MASK 2: CITY OF MASKS (2002) on Sony at 5:10 AM. El Rey has THE MAGNIFICENT RUFFIANS (1979) at 4:00 PM, THE MASKED AVENGERS (1982) at 6:00 PM, FIVE FINGERS OF DEATH at 8:00 PM, THE CHINESE BOXER (1970) at 10:00 PM, followed by an 11:30 PM repeat of FIVE FINGERS OF DEATH. FX Movies is showing HERE COMES THE BOOM (2012) at 8:00 and 9:45 PM, and IFC is slipping in TRANSPORTER 2 (2005) at 11:00 PM.

Friday brings a re-airing of THE CHINESE BOXER on El Rey at 1:30 AM, followed by FANTASY MISSION FORCE (1982) at 3:00 AM and THE YOUNG TIGER (1977) at 4:30 AM, both also on El Rey. IFC has IRON MONKEY (1993) at 6:00 AM, and the day closes with a 6:40 PM airing of THE BIG HIT on Sony.

Saturday is a good day to catch up on that stack of DVDs you have been meaning to watch, because there are no martial arts movies on at all.

Sunday kicks off with 2:00 AM and 9:00 AM airings of NINJA ASSASSIN on Esquire, and closes with a 10:10 PM showing of THE BIG HIT on Sony. Everything else is on El Rey, where it is Ladies Night (well, afternoon). They are showing THE LADY HERMIT (1971) at 10:00 AM and again at 8:00 PM, THE LADY ASSASSIN (1983) at noon and 10:00 PM, LADY OF THE LAW (1975) at 2:00 PM, THE LADY IS THE BOSS (1983) at 4:00 PM, and LADY WITH A SWORD(1971) at 6:00 PM. With movies starring the likes of Pei-pei Cheng, Shih Szu, Lily Ho and Kara Hui, Sunday is easily the best day of the week thanks to El Rey’s line up.
