A brand new book from martial arts and film journalist Mike Fury, entitled LIFE OF ACTION: Interviews with the Men and Women of Martial Arts and Action Cinema, has just been released from Mill City Press. It gives fans of action cinema the chance to get some unique insight into the genre they love through candid interviews with many of the notable men and women working in the action movie industry .

Some of the actors interviewed  include: Donnie Yen (IP MAN), Scott Adkins (NINJA: SHADOW OF A TEAR), Cynthia Rothrock (RIGHTING WRONGS), the late Darren Shahlavi (POUND OF FLESH), and Rina Takeda (HIGH KICK GIRL), to name only few. There are also interviews with influential directors, including Tsui Hark (ONCE UPON A TIME IN CHINA), Isaac Florentine (UNDISPUTED 2), and Ryoo Seung- wan (CITY OF VIOLENCE), and the stunt teams involved in major action pictures such as JOHN WICK, HAYWIRE and WARRIOR. All told, the book contains 35 interviews, each one revealing a unique perspective on the creation of exciting modern cinema action.

LIFE OF ACTION, a project that was three years in the making, is available now in paperback format from Amazon.co.uk with an e-book version coming soon.

An interview with LIFE OF ACTION author Mike Fury, and a review of the book will both be coming soon to Shaolin Chamber 36.
