This week brings Valentine’s Day. It is a time for star-crossed lovers, impossible romances, and stories of true love… which is unfortunate for us, as it kind of limits the amount of rage-fueled martial arts revenge stories that are going to be on this week. Luckily, there is at least a little something on every single day this week. If nothing else …

Before the movies, let us take a look at this week’s TV shows, starting with your weekly dose of WALKER, TEXAS RANGER. Kung fu brothers and sisters, we need your help. The cost of maintaining the forum is taking a serious bite out of the “temple reserves” (aka. mine and Ray’s wallets), much more than we had anticipated. And as SMK and I are both family men, we have very little in the way of extra cash, making it exceedingly tough to keep up with the bills …

As an avid Shaw Brothers fan, it’s only natural that I would get excited for the Q Pop Shop’s “Bros vs Bros” Exhibit. The Q2 Gallery in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles presented two new art exhibits simultaneously, including “Kinoko Oukoku: Mushroom Kingdom” which is a tribute to the iconic Super Mario Bros franchise, and “Deadly Venom: Tribute to Shaw Brothers Cinema.”

Winter marches on, and so do the martial arts. On the TV show side, WALKER, TEXAS RANGER is still the only option. It is now on Grit TV (which is sometimes a broadcast digital substation, but may be part of your cable line up) every day at 8:00 and 9:00 PM (plus 6:00 PM on Sunday), in addition to weekdays at 10:00 PM, 1:00 and 2:00 AM, and Sundays …

We are firmly into 2016 now, or just finishing the ‘Year of the Wooden Goat’, depending on how you look at things. The only martial arts dramatic …
